Our budget, our board minutes, and our campaign wins and losses are public. Accountability starts with us.
Nonpartisan, community-led, and built one campaign at a time.
Groundswell started with a handful of neighbors around a kitchen table, frustrated that decisions affecting their block were made without them in the room. What began as one letter-writing campaign grew — supporter by supporter — into a coalition organizing across the whole county.
We still work the same way: listen first, organize deliberately, and measure success by whether the people most affected by a policy had a real say in changing it.

Our budget, our board minutes, and our campaign wins and losses are public. Accountability starts with us.
The people affected by a policy help write the ask. We organize with our neighbors, not on their behalf.
Real change is slow. We stay on a campaign for as many budget cycles and hearings as it takes to win.
"Real societal change is brought by those who plant seeds for trees they'll never sit in the shade of." It's the line our founders kept coming back to — and it's still why we measure our work in decades, not news cycles.
